About Operation Beast Mode

I’m Steve; and I’m a big dude.

When I say big dude I don’t mean slightly chubby, I mean immense! Back in my early 20’s I was a fairly fit guy, enjoyed going to the gym and running; however since leaving the RAF and settling into my career my health took a back seat. As a result I got lazy and did nothing about it.

Fast forward 10 years, here I am today; in horrible shape, unable to participate in the sports I want to because I have high blood pressure, so big I can only buy clothes from online retailers and generally looking like a miserable bastard. I’m also a husband and a Dad to a young son, so now more than ever I need to get my shit together and do something about my weight.

So the deal is this, I’ll be 100% open with my loss and regime,  the thinking being that if I’m public and open about it’ll force me to persevere through the hard times, letting people down doesn’t sit well with me so here I am, open and public about everything.

I’m very lucky to have so many supportive people around to help me, especially Spike (Mark Russell) who is helping me to get myself back on track and fit again; without the help and support of the people around me I would surely carry on getting bigger and in worse shape.

I will update the site every step of the way, hopefully this will serve to motivate me to push forward and who knows, may even inspire some people to take up their very own “Operation Beast Mode”.
